Schools close, but kids don’t get days off from growing and learning—make sure they have a welcoming, fun, and encouraging place to keep up with the hard work of growing up! Whether they’re here for a district in-service day or a longer holiday break, Morris Street Learning Garden invites kids to engage in hands-on, meaningful activities that connect them to their communities and the greater world we share.
School Closure programing is available to all students enrolled in kindergarten through 5th grade and takes place from 9am to 4pm whenever school is not in-session (with a few exceptions.)
School Closure Care & Camps
“Caitlyn has fostered an amazingly inclusive, welcoming community amongst our families, neighbors and children. Parents often share the sentiment that modern parenting is extra challenging as we lack the “village” that is often referred to when it comes to raising families. This community has truly became that village. While the care provided after school, on no-school-days, and during the summer is so important and vital to our family’s survival and livelihood, even more importantly MSLG provides fulfillment, experiences, and friendship for my kids. They get to create deep relationships with their neighbors and classmates. Caitlyn is an advocate and educator and my kids regularly come home and engage in meaningful conversations. Whether it is around the benefits of public transportation, importance of protecting our neighbors, or ways we can voice our concerns to local officials, the MSLG is such a safe place for our kids to learn and thrive together.”
